On the afternoon of April 7, 2022, Chen Xi, Director of International Education Affairs of Beijing Normal University at Zhuhai (BNU Zhuhai), Dean of Phoenix School, and Director of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Cultural and Educational Exchange Center, along with her delegation, went to Zhuhai M.U.S.T. (Macao University of Science and Technology) Science and Technology Research Institute located in Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin ("Cooperation Zone" for short hereafter) to visit and exchange views. Wu Xiaoning, consultant of the Industry-Education Integration Affairs Development Office of Zhuhai M.U.S.T. Science and Technology Research Institute, and Li Jin, director of the office, warmly received them and held operational working talks.

During the meeting, consultant Wu Xiaoning made a key introduction to the general situation of the institute, future medium and long-term plans and key projects to be developed this year. He expected Zhuhai M.U.S.T. Science and Technology Research Institute to continue to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with BNU Zhuhai, and to further promote application research and development of scientific research cooperation, think tank construction, and the building of non-degree training brands.

In her speech, Chen Xi said that this visit is a specific measure to implement the cooperation agreement between the two universities. At this stage, it is necessary to fully integrate the educational resources of the two universities, to carry out cooperation in a wider dimension and at a deeper level in the joint training of students, the joint declaration of major topics, the exchange of digital cultural and creative industries and the co-construction and sharing of key laboratories in the Cooperation Zone. At the same time, they will combine the advantages of frontier interdisciplinary subjects of the two parties such as traditional Chinese medicine, general health, education, and psychology to develop some special social service projects in the fields of “big health + psychology,” happiness education, family education and so on.

BNU Zhuhai and M.U.S.T. will jointly build a "Teaching, Production, Learning and Research Demonstration Center" in the Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, to jointly promote the integrated and coordinated development of higher education in Zhuhai and Macao, and facilitate the development of international education, technology and cultural innovation in the Greater Bay Area.

The two parties also visited and exchanged views on the scientific research conditions and construction development of the Institute's Exhibition Hall of Innovation Achievements, the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicines (Hengqin Branch), and the State Key Laboratory of Lunar and Planetary Sciences (Hengqin Branch).
