On March 30th, the launching ceremony of the international volunteer service team of Beijing Normal University at Zhuhai (BNU Zhuhai) and the unveiling ceremony of the BNU Zhuhai’s international volunteer service base at Jinfeng Primary School in Zhuhai National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Zhuhai High-tech Zone) were held. Two venues, BNU Zhuhai Venue and Jinfeng Primary School Venue, were set online and offline for this event. Guo Kanjun, Director of the International Office of BNU Zhuhai, along with other leaders from the Party Committee Publicity Office, Belt and Road School and Phoenix School showed up for the event. Wang Xingang, Party Branch Secretary and Principal of Jinding Middle School and Jinfeng Primary School, Wang Yan, Party Branch Secretary of Jinfeng Primary School and other teachers also attended the ceremony. International scholars and student representatives from BNU Zhuhai, as well as student representatives from Jinfeng Primary School, were also present.
At the Jinfeng Primary School Venue, Wang Xingang proclaimed in his speech that Jinfeng Primary School has achieved initial results in cultivating talented young people who seek truth, innovation, kindness and beauty, by relying on BNU Zhuhai’s rich and high-quality teaching, scientific research and international exchange resources as well as adhering to the core values of "cherishing students like pearls，riding the wind and waves and heading for the sea." The establishment of the international volunteer service team and volunteer service base will further expand the students' international vision, promote the integration of resources with the university, and enhance close exchanges between the two sides.
At the BNU Zhuhai Venue, Guo Kanjun first illustrated the connotation of Lei Feng's spirit and General Secretary Xi Jinping's significant instructions on inheriting Lei Feng's spirit. She said that the establishment of the international volunteer service team at BNU Zhuhai is a response to General Secretary Xi Jinping's call to write the Lei Feng story in the new era with practical actions. What’s more, the great "Lei Feng Spirit" has always been upheld by international scholars and students of BNU Zhuhai, who actively participated in various voluntary services to serve the teachers and students of the school, promote the publicity of Zhuhai, and make suggestions for the introduction of international talents and services for school and society. At the same time, they not only strengthened their sense of identity and belonging to Chinese culture, but also deeply felt the rapid development of China's social economy and the friendship and warmth from the Chinese people while participating in the activities. Moreover, the formal establishment of the international volunteer service team of BNU Zhuhai will help the participants enter into the community, serve the society, and continue to contribute to the development of BNU Zhuhai, Zhuhai High-tech Zone and Zhuhai.
Later, Guo Kanjun announced the establishment of the international volunteer service team of BNU Zhuhai, and the guests presented the letter of appointment of "Member of the International Volunteer Service Team of BNU Zhuhai" to international scholars and students.

Then, videos of the poetry recitation of "Prelude to Water Melody: When Will the Moon be Clear and Bright" performed by international students from BNU Zhuhai and the singing of the same poem performed by Jinfeng Primary School students were played on scene.
Wang Xingang and teacher representatives jointly unveiled the BNU Zhuhai’s international volunteer service base at Jinfeng Primary School in Zhuhai High-tech Zone.
This event, concerned and guided by the Social Undertakings Bureau of Zhuhai High-tech Zone, aims to carry forward the Lei Feng spirit of "dedication, friendship, mutual assistance and progress" and promote international scholar students to enter into the community and serve the society.
