A series of activities aiming at promoting international understanding, customized for Jinfeng Primary School students by Phoenix School of Beijing Normal University, was held at BNU Zhuhai on December 28.
Design and Create at School of Future Design
Led by Gao Peng, Dean of the School of Future Design of Beijing Normal University, various exhibition areas of the Art Museum in Yuanbai Building were visited by students of Jinfeng Primary School. Among them, the AR section of "Metaverse" displayed efficient and convenient modern technology in design, "The Art Education for Children in Difficult Situation Series" popularized the art education of public welfare natureand "The History of Art Textbooks" depicted the advancement of Chinese art education. The students not only experienced the concept of aesthetics environmental protection and learned the design principles of artworks, but also came to know the designer's creative ideas and the harmonious relationship between aesthetics and nature. Additionally, the students cultivated and improved their aesthetic taste.
Experience and Feel French and Pakistani culture at Phoenix Language Village
The teachers and students of Jinfeng Primary School then visited the French Village of Phoenix Language Village. A lecture on French culture was offered to the students, who were led into the world of the beautiful natural scenery, unique customs, famous cultural events, distinctive architecture, romantic literature and art and specialty food in France.
International student Li Ran shared the local customs of his homeland Pakistan, showing Pakistani geographical location, famous buildings, traditional sports and customs. During the sharing, Li Ran also led the students to experience the traditional Pakistani dance.
The activities customized for primary and secondary school students by Phoenix School to promote their international understanding were well received and recognized by the teachers and students participating in the activities. Phoenix School will continue to explore the cooperation mode between universities and primary and secondary schools to help primary and secondary students improve their international understanding.
