On May 6, 2024, the Exhibition of Excellent works of “Different Life” Youth Painting Competition, jointly organized by Phoenix School and Alliance Francaise de Pekin, officially opened in the quiet library atrium of Beijing Normal University at Zhuhai. Chen Xi, President of Phoenix School; Wan Lipeng, Librarian of Beijing Normal University at Zhuhai; Guo Kanjun, Director of the International Office; Qiu Yue, Deputy Director of the International Office; Wang Yan, Secretary of the Party Branch of Jinfeng Primary School; Zhao Baojin, Vice Chairman of the Labour Union of BNU Zhuhai, and the students and teachers of Phoenix School participated in the unveiling ceremony of the painting exhibition.
On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, Phoenix School and Alliance Francaise de Pekin selected 21 outstanding paintings from nearly 200 winning works of “Different Life - Vivre autrement” in the Sino-French Environment Month 2023, sincerely expressing the understanding of the future education and the consensus of the educators in China and France on cultivating multi-dimensional future literacy. Through the perspective of the pure hearts of 21 Chinese children, they expressed their concern and love for the earth home, conveyed the sincere desire of harmonious coexistence between man and nature, and depicted the green future of the new era of China in the 21st century. Through such activities, Phoenix School, together with colleagues from the industry and students who are future educators, have tried to explore forward-looking educational concepts, to witness and accompany the growth process of children, and to achieve diversified and internationalized educational practices.
Chen Xi, in her speech at the opening ceremony, warmly congratulated the opening of Exhibition of Excellent works of “Different Life” Youth Painting Competition and expressed her heartfelt praise for the new attempts of China and France to explore children’s education in the context of the new era. She also paid tribute to the partners of Phoenix School, Ms. Bai Enlan and Ms. Bao Yuehong, the French principal and the Chinese principal of Alliance Française de Beijing, who are hastening to Parisfor the friendship between China and France, witnessing another historic moment in the development of bilateral relations.
The exhibition will be on display until May 20th, and the Labour Union of BNU Zhuhai and Phoenix School will be releasing information about the “2024 Sino-French Environment Month Youth Painting Competition” soon.
