Entrusted by the Education and Youth Development Bureau of Macao Special Administrative Region, Phoenix School of BNU Zhuhai organized an online training on “Constitution, Basic Law of Macao Special Administrative Region and National Security Law” for more than 30 primary and secondary school teachers from May 31 to June 4.

The Constitution and the Basic Law of the Macao Special Administrative Region are the national programmatic documents implemented in the Macao Special Administrative Region. The national security law is an important document to maintain national security. In order to ensure the long-term security and stability of the Macao Special Administrative Region and the smooth implementation of "one country, two systems," we should actively carry out education of the Basic Law, Constitution and the National Security Law, so as to improve all the residents’ awareness of the Constitution, Basic Law and understanding of national security.

According to the requirements of the Education and Youth Development Bureau, the training invited professor Jinguang Hu from Renmin University of China; professor Zhenmin Wang from Tsinghua University; professor Yanying Bi from University of International Relations; as well as professor Xiu-mei Wang from  Beijing Normal University and other well-known scholars who have a certain influence in the domestic law field, to give lessons to the primary and secondary school teachers in Macao. Through the simple but profound and humorous introduction to the Constitution, Basic Law of Macao Special Administrative Region and Security Law, the Macao primary and secondary school teachers who participated in the training received a more thorough and profound understanding of the three laws. All the teachers said that they would integrate the knowledge of the Constitution, Basic Law and National Security Law into their future teaching, so that the broad masses of primary and secondary school students in Macao could understand the content of the law in advance, establish legal awareness and national security awareness, and strive to become qualified citizens who understand and abide by the law.
