International Students of Phoenix School Participated in the Special Performance of the Valley Arts Festival: Recitation of Chinese Classics

The Special Performance of the Valley Arts Festival: Recitation of Chinese Classics  was held on December 18, 2021 in Nanguo Theatre. Teachers and students at BNU Zhuhai recited and interpreted the classics together, showing the charm and connotation of poetry culture. International students of Phoenix School, Ripon, Aziz, Ali, Malek, Cephas and Imran actively participated in  the Special Performance: Recitation Of Chinese Classics , presenting the “Prelude to Water Melody” recitation performance together.

The Special Performance of the Valley Arts Festival: Recitation Of Chinese Classics  resounds with the melody of classics, including “Song of a Pipa Player,” “the Everlasting Regret,” “Youth in China,” “Invitation to wine,” “Prelude to Water Melody,” “Set of Poems from  Book of Songs, ” “the River All Red,” “Viewing the Sea,” “The Way of Respecting Teachers,” “Notes on the Yueyang Tower,” and “Young China.” International students recited “Prelude to Water Melody,” one of Su Shi’s representative works, which is of strong romantic color with graceful rhyme, touching emotion and magnificent vision, and always regarded as the swan song among all the poems praising Mid-Autumn Festival.

In this joyful and unforgettable performance, international students read the rich emotions of “Prelude to Water Melody” out sonorously and expressed their love of Chinese culture. Finally, their performance also exhibited images of the world youth and connections between different cultures!
